1.Overview
WhatsApp Message Designer Pro (the “Extension”) is a productivity tool developed by Appsgain Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”) that helps you create, save, organize and paste formatted messages into WhatsApp Web. We respect your privacy and have designed the Extension to function completely offline. This policy explains what data the Extension handles and how it is protected.
The Extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. “WhatsApp” is a trademark of its respective owner.
2.Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. The Extension has no sign-up, no login and no backend server. We never see, receive or store your data.
The only data that exists is data you create, which is saved locally on your device:
- Templates & messages you write or save.
- Folders, categories, tags and favorites you create to organize them.
- Quick replies and signatures you add.
- Message history (auto-save) — the text you paste, with a timestamp, message length, and the open chat's name when available.
- Local usage counts (e.g. how many messages you've created or which template you use most) used to power the in-app Dashboard and Analytics.
- Preferences such as theme, auto-save and floating-button settings.
This information is stored only on your computer and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
3.How & where your data is stored
All data is kept locally in your browser using standard browser storage:
- IndexedDB — templates, history, quick replies, signatures and categories.
- chrome.storage.local — your settings and local usage counters.
This data never leaves your device. It is not synced to any cloud and is not backed up by us. If you uninstall the Extension or clear your browser data, this information is permanently removed. You can create your own backup at any time using the built-in Export feature (see Your choices & controls).
4.Permissions and why they are used
The Extension requests the minimum permissions required to function. Each is used strictly on your device:

We do not request access to your browsing history, other websites, your camera, microphone, location, or contacts.
5.Access to WhatsApp Web
The Extension runs only on web.whatsapp.com. Its access there is limited to:
- Displaying the floating button and the in-page designer overlay.
- Writing your designed message into the chat input box when you choose to paste.
- Reading the open conversation's display name (when available) so it can be shown alongside the matching entry in your local history.
The Extension does not read, collect, monitor, export or transmit your conversations, contacts or messages. It does not automate sending and never communicates with WhatsApp's servers on your behalf.
6.Data sharing & third parties
We do not sell, rent, trade or share any data — because we never collect any. The Extension contains no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, trackers or external API calls. No data is sent to Appsgain Technologies or to any other party.
7.Analytics & tracking
There is no external analytics, telemetry or tracking of any kind. The “Analytics” screen inside the Extension is calculated entirely from your local data and is visible only to you on your device. We have no visibility into how you use the Extension.
8.Your choices & controls
You are always in full control of your data:
- Export — download your data anytime as JSON, CSV, TXT or Markdown (Settings → Data).
- Import — restore a previous JSON backup.
- Delete — remove individual templates/history items, or use “Delete All Data” to wipe everything instantly.
- Auto-save — turn message history on or off in Settings.
- Uninstall — removing the Extension deletes all of its locally stored data.
9.Data security
Because your data never leaves your device and is not transmitted over a network, it is not exposed to the risks associated with cloud storage or data transfer. Your information is protected by your operating system and browser's own security model. We recommend keeping your browser and device up to date and exporting periodic backups of any templates you wish to keep.
10.Children's privacy
The Extension is intended for general and business use and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Extension or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected in the Extension's listing. Your continued use of the Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
